Northern Michigan Escapes Formally Certified as
Covid19 Safety Ambassador for the State of Michigan

Northern Michigan Escapes has been named a COVID-19 Workplace Safety Ambassador by Michigan OSHA and NSF International.

In this Covid19 Pandemic, enterprises exceeding safety and public health norms gain recognition.

We all care about our owners, guests, and employees. We are continually striving to maintain our properties clean and healthy. Regarding COVID-19, follow the CDC and WHO’s cleaning and sanitizing guidelines. Assure our crew is following and safe.

Our cleaning and sanitizing techniques target viruses like COVID-19. We improved them to make them more hygienic and virus-proof. Cleaning and sanitizing, as well as personal hygiene, to ensure best practices.

Employee and Guest Safety

It’s vital that we protect our employees and keep them safe so we can clean our homes. To prevent the transmission of viruses and bacteria, our team is continually reminded to wash their hands. We have to change gloves every time we clean a unit. So we don’t clean bacteria. Guests and personnel must stay 6 feet apart when wearing masks.

One housekeeper usually cleans smaller flats. If a team member is unwell, they must stay home until they recover so that everyone stays healthy. We wear masks in public places where a 6ft social distance isn’t possible. Guests and staff must wear masks. When using multiple housekeepers, they use social distancing to keep them apart.

Cleaning Products and Procedures

When battling COVID-19, make sure you have the necessary products and processes in place. This is vital.

We use COVID-19 cleaning and sanitizing supplies to clean and sanitize each property’s hard and soft services. Use hospital-grade sanitizers.

The property’s cleaned and sanitized after each stay.

Our crew has been cleaning and disinfecting public spaces including elevators, door handles, light switches, and room keys more frequently.

Owner and Guest Responsibility

During this period, we hope owners and guests will be responsible and clean up after themselves. During these very special occasions, it is vital that everyone does their share to reduce the spread and contact to a minimum.

We will keep an eye on what the CDC and WHO say about how to do things moreover, we will change our processes as needed.

Current Cancellation Information

Northern Michigan Escapes has changed its cancellation policy in light of recent WHO developments. It also addresses issues of international travel and personal hygiene.

Cancellation Policy and Exceptions to Cancellation Policy

Policies and terms do not alter due to Covid19, fear of travel, or lack of services in other enterprises. For example, there are no restrictions on other service providers’ services or the operation of lodging facilities with restricted services.

Travelers Insurance

If you cancel your trip and your insurance doesn’t cover the costs, you still have to pay. Then you’ll need to make a claim on your insurance and get any refunds that are due. Please call your travel insurance company directly. We don’t know how it works or how much it costs. If you bought travel insurance through Northern Michigan Escapes, you can call 866-999-4018. In this situation, use the insurance company’s contact information.

We are closely monitoring government directed guidelines. We will re-evaluate our policies at appropriate times based on these guidelines.
