A Northern Michigan Escapes Third Shift Laundry Associate would work out of The Edgewater Inn but would also provide service to The Pointes North Inn located across the street.

While serving in this role, your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

Perform a variety of linen management - sorting, washing, drying, folding, stacking, and organizing the linens to be distributed to the appropriate rental units and properties
Ensure cleanliness of the laundry room including the equipment and linen storage areas
Provide consistent documentation and communication while coordinating linen and housekeeping needs with Northern Michigan Escapes Housekeeping Managers
Communicate maintenance repair needs (both preventative and emergency based) and regularly inspect and property to ensure facility and equipment is in good working order
Respond to in-house guest needs at both the Edgewater Inn and the Pointes North Inn, and contact appropriate support staff as necessary
Serve as an industry professional with punctual, friendly, and responsible customer service
Process reservation payments from guests
Provide guests with information concerning hotel policies, amenities and services
Provide written and verbal correspondence to upcoming and in-house guests in-person, via email and over the phone
Create, modify and cancel reservations on computerized reservation system

What We’re Looking For

Education:High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ideal Experience:1-2 years of housekeeping experience.

Essential Functions

Candidate must be able to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
Candidate must be able to multitask with accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to follow directions thoroughly
Candidate must possess strong time management skills and have a high attention to detail

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, bend, stand, sit, lift up to 20 pounds with or without assistance, stretch/reach, hear, see, have functional hand/finger dexterity and navigate stairs.

Schedule

Candidate must be available for evening hours during both the week and weekends including holidays
Candidate must be available and open to working at either location depending on staffing needs
Candidate will be expected to perform the duties required by the role and devote all reasonable efforts to ensure the role is adequately performed.
