A Northern Michigan Escapes Front Desk Associate would work out of both the Pointes North Inn and the Edgewater Inn located across the street from the other. We are looking for mature and hardworking individuals who are friendly and customer service oriented. While serving in this role, your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

Greet clients and assist guests during the check in and out processes; assuring they are attended to within a timely and professional fashion
Maintain a clean and organized front office and lobby area and when necessary, assist with laundry duties
Process reservation payments from guests
Provide guests with information concerning hotel policies, amenities and services
Serve as an industry professional with punctual, friendly, and responsible customer service
Provide written and verbal correspondence to upcoming and in-house guests in-person, via email and over the phone
Create, modify and cancel reservations on computerized reservation system
Provide consistent documentation and communication to Manager(s)

What We’re Looking For

Ideal Experience:1 year of front desk experience

Essential Functions

Candidate must be able to work collaboratively and efficiently within the team as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Candidate must be able to multitask with accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to follow directions thoroughly
Candidate must possess strong time management skills
Candidates must communicate effectively with teammates, guests and associates

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, bend, stand, sit, lift up to 10 pounds with or without assistance, stretch/reach, hear, see, have functional hand/finger dexterity and navigate stairs.

Schedule

Candidate must be available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department including weekends, holidays, possible evenings, in addition to weekdays
Candidate must be available and open to working at either location depending on staffing needs
Candidate will be expected to perform the duties required by the role and devote all reasonable efforts to ensure the role is adequately performed.
