A Northern Michigan Escapes Housekeeper helps investment property owners and homeowners in preserving and increasing the value of their investments. This candidate would participate in day-to-day operations with the Housekeeping Team that serve our clients at The Edgewater Inn and Pointes North Inn. We are looking for mature, hardworking, and seasoned professionals who are friendly and customer service oriented. While serving in this role, your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

Work as a member of a team to efficiently and thoroughly clean rental properties for incoming guest and owner stays
Perform a variety of linen management including sorting, washing, drying, folding, stacking and transporting the linens as well as distribute linens to rental units
Lift / transport cleaning supplies to / from units using a utility cart
Provide consistent documentation and communication to fellow housekeepers, Housekeeping Leads and Housekeeping Manager
Thoroughly inspect facility and document any damages and manage items left behind after guest departure
Maintaining cleaning carts and storage room in a clean and orderly fashion

What We’re Looking For

Ideal Experience:1 year of housekeeping experience

Essential Functions

Candidate must be able to work collaboratively and efficiently within the team as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Candidate must be able to multitask with accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to follow directions thoroughly
Candidate must possess strong time management skills and have a high attention to detail
Candidates must communicate effectively with teammates, guests and associates

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, bend, stand, sit, lift up to 25 pounds with or without assistance, navigate stairs, climb short ladders stretch/reach, hear, see, and have functional hand/finger dexterity.
Must be free of physical limitations and able to push/pull linen carts. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions in accordance with applicable laws.

Schedule

Candidate must be available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department including weekends, holidays, possible evenings, in addition to weekdays.
Candidate must be available and open to working at either location depending on staffing needs
Candidate will be expected to perform the duties required by the role and devote all reasonable efforts to ensure the role is adequately performed.
