Room 239 was lovely

My sister and I rented 239, so we could attend a local wedding. It was well appointed, the furnishings were nice (though they were starting to show some wear and tear) and we felt very “at home”. It really is walking distance to the super cute shopping/social/picturesque part of town. The front desk worker suggested an outdoor dinning restaurant and it was the perfect vibe for us. I would absolutely stay here again.

We love staying at this property! The view is great, and we love being able to walk to bars, restaurants, and shopping. The staff is very friendly and responsive. Downsides: The deck furniture is uncomfortable, and the kitchen was limited on some items. For instance, we didn't have a toaster, and we had to ask at the desk for a dishtowel and dishcloth. Even so, we still loved our stay and we plan on returning.

Northern adventure

We enjoyed the location. Easy walking to restaurants and shopping. Easy commute to other locations. Enjoyed seeing the mushroom houses and beach. Cool to see the boats coming and going.

Labor Day Weekend '24

we love the location of the Edgewater and have been coming for over 15 years now. This particular unit is very dark and a bit dated. The room didn't feel very clean, the floors were dirty and the bottom shelf of the coffee table was covered in dust and trash. There was construction going on right outside of our room, remodeling the restaurant into new units, and they worked all weekend as well as Labor Day. Extremely frustrating. The rental property staff are always friendly when they are there. but most of the time when you need them they aren't at the desk. This has been an ongoing thing for the last several years and I feel it's getting worse. we needed linens for showers. we had left the dirty ones out for the cleaners, but they didn't leave new ones. when we went to get some, 30 minutes before the sign said they would closed, they were already closed. so we were stuck without linens. thankful we had family in another room that lent us some. The laundry room was closed and it sounds like that's been going on for quite a while as well. Which meant a trip to the laundry mat. not the end of the world, but for what they charge a night, their amenities should be working.

Great Time Tucked In at the Edgewater Inn

The weather was chilly and rainy, but it was cozy inside unit #329! A lovely get away to rest and rejuvenate. It has pans and dishes for two. But there is not a full size kitchen/fridge and no stove. So, small easy dishes and microwave meals that you just bought are what you can eat. There is not a freezer. Grocery store is up the road just a few minutes. We do not recommend Bridges Taproom across the river. They were not able to provide us with salsa, brischetta, chicken, Moscato, and one other item we tried to order. It was a fail. But Pizza Hut was extremely accommodating & tasted great! Great, quick service with a smile, too. The staff at the front desk was friendly at the Edgwater Inn, too--during the week. Everything was clean and very quiet. We would stay there again! The communication from Northern Michigan Escapes, LLC was top Notch. Couldn't ask for better!

Edgewater Condo

Our particular condo is in dire need of an update. The blanket had a very worn edge and a few holes which made it appear old and dirty. One of the hot pads had dried food on it. There also was an old, musty smell throughout the condo. We love the property and have stayed in a different unit which was lovely. I would not stay in 239 again.

Great location

Great communication from the owner to start. They informed us that the hot tub would not be working months in advance and offered to let us cancel. We didn't care about that, but appreciated the information. Check in was easy and the condo was very nice. The location is right by the drawbridge. We enjoyed watching to boats come through the channel and watching the bridge from the balcony. For the bridge being loud outside, it was minimal inside the condo (a pleasant surprise). This condo is on the Petoskey side of the bridge which was really nice. We could drive to surrounding areas without having to go over the bridge each time. You are right in downtown Charlevoix (just cross the bridge) and it's easy to walk to and not have to drive. Cute stores and good restaurants within walking distance. Easy to walk to the beach or around the marinas. Beautiful area. Great location. Highly recommend.

Beautiful

This a wonderful place to stay. Our room had a perfect view of the canel and draw bridge. The place is well maintained. The one negative is, as a person with hip issues I never experienced a toilet that was so low, it made it difficult to use.

This is our 4th time to stay at the Edgewater Inn, we just love it. It's our favorite place, comfortable accommodations, nice staff, and great view of Round Lake and Pine Channel. Love sitting on the balcony watching the boats and the people in the park and on Bridge Street.

Stay in Condo 239

This was a great property. The condo was very clean and other than a cracked clock in the kitchenette, the furniture and furnishing were good quality. The location was perfect, right in downtown and walking distance to the beach, mushroom houses, and multiple restaurants. I was worried about the road noise given the location and while there was some, it was not intrusive. Some people may take issue with the sounds from the drawbridge (horn sound when going up, bells while up), but we found it interesting to watch the boats and would stay here again for the view. Good strong shower. My only suggestion would be to have 4 towels on the room vs 2 for a multi-night stay and reduce the number of decorative bed pillows because there is no place to put them to keep them out of the way.
