Beautiful home with large yard

We stayed here with multiple families/generations. The house is very nicely appointed and was pristine when we arrived. There isn’t an outdoor table at all but there are several comfy lounge chairs on the deck plus a very nice firepit area. The beach area is small - plenty of space for my almost 3 year old but maybe not enough if your group has more than 2 or 3 kids or has kids who enjoy building large sand castles. The lakeshore isn’t murky and is shallow with a sandy bottom. The paddleboard and 2 kayaks were enjoyable to take on the mostly quiet lake. My husband also appreciated the great fishing even just off the home’s dock.

Spacious, beautiful, lakefront property

Our family had a great time staying at the well appointed Blue Dog Lodge right on quiet Deer Lake recently for a long weekend. Check in was super convenient. We enjoyed the sun and view of Deer Lake from the deck. My disabled son loved to rock back and forth on the swing down at the beach. The house is large with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Large windows everywhere maximize the views of the lake. The house was clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. However,previous renters must have had younger children who left sticky smudges which attracted ants. Also, the main bedroom shower as well as the kitchen sink faucet, the hot and cold water hookups were reversed ; hot was cold and cold was hot. The property manager answered questions by text message very promptly. Boyne City has everything that might be needed during your stay. Deer Lake is quiet and relaxing and the surrounding area is beautiful as well. We can hardly wait to go back for another visit.
