Our Lake Michigan Retreat home is only 2.9 miles to Downtown Charlevoix. Sitting on its own sandy beach, in a nature reserve, this newly remodeled Lake Michigan home offers stunning views and beautiful sunsets.

The master bedroom suite has a picture perfect view of Lake Michigan that you can view from your California King bed or step outside onto the spacious deck while enjoying your morning coffee. There are two other roomy bedrooms on the main level, both with California King beds. The lower level hosts a bunk room with two sets of twin bunk beds. The home has lots of natural light, beautiful whitewashed ceiling beams, and a very open feel. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances and the dining room seats 10 people, which is perfect for those family dinners. There is even a wine and cheese bar. Northern Michigan sunsets can be enjoyed from the firepit area on the beach or from one of 3 deck areas from your choice of Adirondack chairs or from the long dining table on the deck that sits 10.

All of this, and only a quick bike ride to downtown Charlevoix or short drive to Boyne Mountain.

Peace and Tranquility

This Lake Michigan home was simply beautiful. From the peace and tranquility experienced as you sit facing the lake from numerous vantage points to the full kitchen and Weber grill amenities available to cook and grill delicious meals as a family. Comfortable bedding, a cozy fireplace, spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. They even had a walkway deck leading to the beach. No steps, no bluff, lots of thought into comfortable spots to sit and take advantage of the gorgeous view of the lake. Bring sand shoes for the water and enjoy the crystal clear water that’s shallow. Natural beach walks with very few neighbors, feels like it’s own island. Teri and Lauren from Northern Michigan Escapes were so responsive and helpful with any questions about the home or area and very professional with all necessary info for the booking. Will be back again!

Perfect Location

This was a great place to stay. The property description was accurate regarding the house and amenities. It undersells the location though, which was perfect. A private beach area right on the lake and only 5 minutes to downtown Charlevoix. Highly recommended.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time with the family at this vacation home. It was perfect for the ten of us! The house was great, the private beach was perfect, the rooms were large...we loved it,Our only suggestion was the drinking glasses were scarce.the kitchen was supplied for everything possible, but we had to get glasses and dish towels. Other than that, it was perfect,!

Delightful for Young and Old

We stayed at Lake Michigan Retreat for a week; my husband and me, our daughter and son-in-law, and their boys, ages 4 and 1.The sand beach was perfect for the boys. The chairs on the beach were great for the fire pit, and watching the boys, and watching the water and sunsets.The house was wonderful. Nicely equipped and plenty of space. Safe (mostly) for the little one. Short drive into town. An hour away from Mackinac Island. It was a good location and we had a great time.

Beautiful home with a stunning view of Lake Michigan

Check in was a breeze with the manager texting me timely instructions. We were staying for the wedding of our son with nine family members including 3 grandsons. The beach had a play area with a slide but the beach itself was a great draw for the grandkids. The fire pit was used and is very safe with decorative block and a fire ring and perfect for making s’mores. The interior was spacious with useable furniture that looked great. The beds were very comfortable-even the downstairs bunk beds. Kitchen was well stocked for a lot of meal prep we did. Washer and dryer a great plus. Overall I could not have chosen a better place for our 6 day stay.

Great Northern Michigan Experience

Location is great, very close to Charlevoix, not too far from Petosky, Harbor Springs or Traverse City. Discovered Michigan's wine country and near lots of golf. Best part was s'mores on Lake Michigan beach and fantastic sunsets. Fell in love with "up north" again. Thank you.

Nice home

Overall the house is very clean and modern feel to it . It has a beach front and nice outdoor seating . A great place for a big family to go on vacation together has a grill and cute playset and bonfire all on lake you really don’t ever have to leave the house . One complaint I do have is that I was not aware that the extra room with the bunk beds is in the basement and with young children this isn’t a practical room to be used I was a little disappointed in that .

Spring Wedding

Upon arrival we found the home to be as described on the website. The interior of the home was beautifully decorated, the furniture was spacious and comfortable, and more than met the needs of our family of five. We found the home to be furnished with all of the amenities that we would need for a long weekend. The view from the west side of the home was complimented by the many windows which afforded a great view of the landscaping, surrounding wooded area and lake. Even though it was an April visit, we were blessed to have been able to enjoy spending a little time outside on one of the many decks. The representative for the Lake Michigan Retreat (Ruth) went out of her way during our entire stay to ensure that our needs were met. She was welcoming, gracious and very accommodating. We truly appreciated all that she did for us during our stay in Charlevoix. We look forward to returning to this beautiful home next May.

Lake Michigan weekend

This rental was perfect. 5 adults and 5 kids had plenty of room. Our own private Sandy Beach. Beautiful new appliances. A glorious deck which can be used in all parts of the day. This rental was perfect for a quite relaxing and fun weekend in charlevoix.
